Established January 2018 by Darren O’Brien, Mick Keogh and James Kelly. Targets a wide range from 16 - 65 years, weight loss and athletes.
Daz became a qualified Personal Trainer in 2017. He comes from a sporting background in Rugby and GAA, playing football for St. Laurences Gaa but his main sport is rugby. He has represented Leinster at youths and junior level, played for Young Munster RFC at senior level in 2009 for a period and reached 2 towns cup finals with Kilkenny RFC, although closely losing both. Daz has always had a passion for fitness and decided to pursue a career with his passion. Now the sport of fitness, crossfit, is his main love and he competes in fitness events. He will be completing his level one crossfit certificate later this year.
Mick became a Personal trainer at the same time as Daz did in 2017. In terms of sporting background Micks is GAA and soccer with Athy GAA and Athy town. Being a type one diabetic most of his life Micks grasp of nutrition is second to none. Mick has been into weight training since a young age and like Daz wanted to pursue a career in it to help those who wish to improve fitness and overall health and wellbeing.
James is already the owner of the well know West Wicklow Fitness in Dunlavin which is a hub of fitness in Wicklow. He decided to join with the other 2 guys to form 3G Fitness in Athy. His background in sports is Gaa with Dunlavin and James has competed in numerous triathlons and ironman events around Ireland and Europe. He is also a sports therapist, and provides therapy for the public here at 3G as well as West Wicklow.
